iOS 14.5 Beta 5 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I'm seeing AT&T 46.0.1 on my 12 Pro.

The text at the top of the post says:

• AT&T - 45.5.8

If it's 46.0.1 that suggests there's still a fix in there since last beta. But I wonder why the post reports an older carrier profile than either beta.

AT&T carrier profile was v46.0 in beta 4. Looks like they rolled back to 45.5.8. Guessing because of the eSIM data issues in the last beta. Good to know they're hopefully working on that.

My 12P on ATT still shows 46.0.1.

It's a user-editable Wiki. No one has updated it since beta 3.

Now it says 46.0.1. 😉

To be clear, you had the raised blacks issue before installing the iOS 14.5 betas? If that's the case I'm about to give a huge sigh of relief.

Yes, I had the problem with raised black before updating to iOS 14.5. I bought my iPhone 12 Pro on launch day and thought it was a QC problem, but it seems like it really was a software problem.

Is double-press to open Wallet turned on in your Wallet settings? Since iPhone X, the phone will wait for that second press before locking if it's enabled.

Thank you!!! You solved a huge mystery for me. Apple Pay was just recently enabled in Mexico and since then that feature has been turned on! I never made the connection.

iPhone 12 mini. I've had a bug in Whatsapp for a while that made some, but not all, audio messages unplayable.

A couple of weeks ago Apple acknowledged it was their fault. After updating to this beta the bug seems go be fixed, I've been able to listen to some of my previously unplayable messages.
