Haven’t updated my phone, an XS Max. I have an add-on battery case (Apple). Will that stop this feature from working?

Does anyone know if the iPhone 8 supports this feature? I’ve read that iPhone X supports it and iPhone 8 has the same guts...

FYI: This only works on models that support tap to wake. It is not available on my iPhone SE 2nd gen.
Can’t find it on my 6S Plus. Not sure if that’s a bug or if the 6S doesn’t support.

I too can't find it on my 6s+, looks like it is not supported.
Someone said its a X and up feature.

I know for a fact that that option was there on my 8 when I first installed it. However, the option is currently missing.

I guess its Haptic feedback, but if Apple wants to improve something, why don't they allow you to turn this off ? It annoys me i wanna move icons around home screen, and it keeps popping just because I hold icons for too long.

Extra cool thing would be if they make it so if you set Home to one of the taps, the home bar will be removed from apps or at least certain apps you can set like games.

Tap to wake is something that might be limited by software on the older devices. They should enable it on the older devices if they can. Also, can anyone here with a 2020 SE or an iPhone 7/ 8 confirm presence of Back Tap on their devices? I had the option when I upgraded OTA from 13.6 beta to 14.0 beta. As is my practice, I restored fresh copy using DFU for the beta of 14, and the option disappeared.

I do not have it on my 2020 SE either. Bummer!!

I used the Advanced settings in Halide Camera app to set ”Open Halide in Auto mode” as a Siri shortcut which I named as Halide Auto.
This put it into the list of apps in the Back Tap selection. I’ve set double tap for screenshots & tripple tap for Halide Camera.
