So after years of using Do Not Disturb within iOS I think it’s time Apple make some changes to how it works.

I use lots of apps that give me notifications at night. Some of them apps i don’t care about. But I’ll give an example.

My home security system sends me a notification when motion is detected on my property. In the day this works just fine but as soon as my phone goes into DND I no longer get any notifications.

Why can’t Apple add an allowed List so you still get notifications for certain apps with DND enabled. This would mean we the consumer have the choice of which notifications we want at night!

Please Apple add something like this in!

The best thing to do is go to the Feedback app and post this as a suggestion. It is a good one.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that after all this time not much has been added to it. Certainly some things like being able to set different times for different days and being able to set certain apps to bypass it have been something talked about and requested for years.

I 100% agree on this. I use DND a lot and would appreciate if this happened.

Definitely think you should go to the Feedback App and offer the suggestion.

I think they should also allow the ability to set it by days.

Eg if you want a set time during the week Mon - Fri and then a different time for the weekend.

I don't understand why they can't implement something as simple as that? I've been suggesting it ever since the first introduced DND. But it seems either people don't want that or apple don't wan't to implement.
