Any certain reason I do not have this filter option in messages!?

Why is there still no way to flag a read message as unread after all these years Apple?!? I can't tell you how many times I've read a message when I was too busy to respond and completely forgot to reply later. The ability to flag a message as unread (just like marking an email as unread) would be very useful in these types of situations!

The forums on this site could stand to get the inline reply treatment. Having to quote people and post the reply many pages later seems unwieldy.

iMessages has so much untapped potential and would likely become the #1 messaging app worldwide if it was available on android. Guess i’ll stick with facebook messenger where the masses are. No one I know uses iMessages even iPhone owners, who wants to use multiple platforms? Nobody!

Anyone know if it supports RCS messaging when messaging other smartphone platforms? Or does it still default to MMS or SMS? Thinking about switching back to iOS for the 5.4" iPhone now that most of my gripes with iOS have been fixed (functional homesceen and cycling directions, hooray!). But can't get any info about RCS support.

You need to have Filter Unknown Senders toggled on in the Messages settings, I believe.

Whatever happened to the rumor that we’d be able to edit sent messages?

Didn't happen, unfortunately. Neither did mark as unread.

Thank you for the link. But I'm referring to the message you have already sent to the other person. Can that one be deleted??? something like this.

Sending your message to Apple will likely produce better results.
Haven't received a response yet :(

It can be deleted on your side. It can't be deleted on recipient's side. (Basically just like regular text messaging or even email work.)

Sorry. I had edited my post.

ah. i think i know what you mean, but i guess that's what happens with a os specific messaging system. i mean whatsapp and all of the other telegrams are independently created messaging services, and are(unfortunately) not meant to work well for those who don't use ios. sorry if i misunderstood you.

emoji search has been in GBoard for years, since the beginning. Swyping is so far superior to Apple swype copy that was just added recently, there is no comparison. Not to mention full size swyping is available in GBoard on iPad, instead of that useless floating keyboard weirdness in iPad OS.
