I think my point being that installing a new iOS can turn back on all the things you had previously turned off, so worth checking.
From that point of view, that is definitely something that's usually worth doing.

I really feel Apple should have put a bigger battery in the SE, 2500mAh minimum!
Sorry if I have asked this before, but do you have Background App Refresh turned off? Also is Siri busy listening in the background? I think those features could cost battery life on the SE.

Honestly, it is fine for me, but whatever happened with the update just really did a number on it. It’s been back to normal since I did the 14.1.

I have app refresh off, and I have Siri where i have to hold down the home button to access it, so no - not on in the background.

You said 14.1 twice. You meant 14.0.1. Unless 14.1 is out unbeknownst to me

Apple tech Support is aware of the battery issue. Apple support page is available. Update coming to correct this

It did a number on my SE2020, which already has a shorter battery life. I could actually watch the battery drop by 1-2% just sitting there. I did the 14.1 update, and all is well.
Hey :) what's your screen on time average right now with ios14? I'm getting average 3 hours11minutes with an iphone 7 on ios 14.0.1.

I'm tryinig to decide if getting an iphone se is going to be fine for me. I need more battery life but don't want to spend a "lot".

My iPhone 11 battery life has decreased slightly. Nothing critical but still very noticeable
