I thought incoming calls were not supposed to take up the whole screen when you are on the call like outgoing calls do? Every incoming call still takes up the whole screen just like a outgoing call and like how all other previous iOS versions do.

What am I missing? lol. I thought it was supposed to be a small banner at the top so you could still navigate other items on the phone?

Check settings for Phone, Incoming Calls should be set to Banner.

Once that is done then it should be a banner. You need to hit the answer button precisely though, as if you are off centre, it changes it to full screen.

FaceTime Video calls, when you answer them will then give you a full screen call window.

Perhaps check your Notification settings and see if Phone is set to have banners? I know I have seen this since the first Public Beta and still on PB2. iPhone 11

This only applies to the incoming call alert while the phone is unlocked (assuming the notification setting is set to that). Incoming call alerts while the phone is locked still come in as full screen. Also the in-call screen is different hasn't changed in either case.

So its just the incoming call banner shows while the phone is ringing but once you accept the call it goes to full screen as usual? I thought the big change was no more full screen while on a call. Gotcha :)

Yeah, the new option is just related to the incoming call screen/alert (and only when unlocked).

Once you accept the call with the iPhone unlocked, the call screen does not go full screen on a regular call. You can still use different apps and web browser.

Doesn't go full screen for me, if I accept a call while I'm in another app, I can continue using the app, while I put the call on speaker phone.

So when the call comes in while you are using your device you see the banner notification on top and you tap the green accept call button, what exactly do you see next?

I can place the call on speaker, while I continue to use the app I’m in.

How are you placing the call on speaker after you've accepted it from the incoming call notification banner?

If I’m in a app while the call comes in, I answer it then the banner gives me a option to place the call on speaker once I’ve accepted the call.

Ah, so once you answer the same banner stays and gives the option to change to speakerphone and then basically just goes away after that?
