iOS 14 PB Widget Question

Hey everyone, why does the weather widget appear blank?

Also, can we not move apps off the Home Screen and only keep 2-3? I keep moving apps to the other screen and another one takes its place lol

Haven’t installed the beta yet but I believe that has been reported as a bug in the current build. Likely will be fixed in the next release.

Widgets (all of them) don't update well. It's blank because it's lazy and hasn't bothered to work out what the weather is yet. And when it does, it'll be so smug that it managed it, it may not update again for hours.

Haha, that made me laugh. But yeah the timeline refreshing is a bit wonky right now. Worked better last build I feel. On my iPhone 8 the Weather widget is also visually broken with the bottom text being cut off

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this I'm afraid?

LOL, So lets say I want the 2 Widgets and only 4 apps on that page to sit up there in between the 2 widgets you see on my screen, so I can clean up the first screen, and have all the rest of the app icons on the others pages. Does that make sense?

Also, it seems if I change it to Charlotte vs Location it works, oddly I do not see the weather app in my settings screen to make sure Location is turned on for that option.

Do you have enough free slots on your next pages? Otherwise start by dragging an icon from one of the following pages over to create a new page. I think it should work then - It did in beta 1 but I haven't tried in beta 2

Yup, the second page has only 2 rows, but whats odd, is as I drag apps from the first screen (First page where the Widgets are) to the second screen, it moves that one app but then brings another app from another page to the first page, so it replaces the one I move with another lol

Actually when I do location now, its not blank, now it shows Cupertino LOL

So I guess for now I cant use "Location". I was hoping to see what others show on their screens like when it is about to rain it tells you it will start and how long

I notice for example the Activity Widget does not update on its own? Or does it at certain intervals? It updates if I tap it. Not complaining, just trying to understand how Apples widgets work

I went ahead and installed iOS 14 PB on my iPad last night. Am I correct with seeing there is no way to place widgets on your pages like on the iPhone?

Correctly; Only pinned to the left side of the first home screen like before
