I’m amazed at the stability of iOS 14. In my phone, it has been more stable and faster than iOS 13.7 overall.
Battery life has increased, and I have only seen a few bugs.

RAM management is much better. I have an iPhone 8 that has only 2gb of RAM. iOS 13 was terrible, my apps used to close a lot in the background. It doesn’t happen on iOS 14.

Around 1000 photos got backed up in Google Photos at night without asking for it, that never happened to me on IOS 13 (likely because of the limited amount of RAM). That’s great.

For me, it feels like a refined iOS 13, everything is more consistent and clean.

How has your experience been so far with iOS 14? In terms of stability and performance.

Well, I have a recently bought 11p, so I wasn’t experiencing any performance issues before the update. I did skip 13.7. Post-update, performance feels the same, although the swipe to text is much faster, as are the key tracing animations when swiping. Dictation is faster but that was a feature of 14. I’m glad you’re noticing better performance though, that’s great! I love it when an older device can feel snappy again.

11 Pro Max here, during the betas reading the articles here, I wasn't sure but have to say now that I do like it. But I cannot (maybe yet) notice any performance increase, nor decrease, feels about the same. Battery life also appears to be the same. So far, I'm glad I upgraded

Yes, I’m glad to see my 3 years old iPhone snappy again.

It is a very good update, battery runtime is almost the same and everything is as fast except the keyboard... i feel it got slower...

So far it seems less responsive and laggy on my 10.5 iPad Pro. Leaving it off my xr for now.
