A little annoyed here - much of the smoothness that was introduced with 15.4 on my 13 Pro that I raved about earlier in this thread was immediately dialed back in 15.4.1.

It better not be because of people whining about the battery. I was still getting great battery. I rarely drop below 60%. Give me the option to use more battery for consistently better visuals, please!!

For anyone who’s still experiencing the System Data storage bug - I found a solution you should try.

My System Data was at about 19GB, completely filling the free storage of my 64GB iPhone. I tried backing my phone up to my Mac, as some people have had success with that, but it didn’t help.

Today, I went to submit a bug report via the Feedback App. I started collecting the storage logs and then left it going to go take a screenshot of the storage to attach to the report. To my amazement, it had dropped down to a much more respectable 9GB!!! Collecting the storage logs significantly reduced the System Data storage, without even needing to send it! (I did send the report afterwards with a note explaining what had happened, though.)

If anyone is shuffling to fix the System Data issue, I encourage you to do what I did.
- Open Feedback (applefeedback:// in Safari)
- Create a new report
- Area of Issue: Settings
- Part of Settings: iPad/iPhone Storage
- Scroll down and hit “Gather iOS Storage Logs”
- Profit!

One thing you might also try if you didn’t already. Syncing your phone to your Mac. Backing it up does not trigger a sync, that must be done manually. When you do you will see diagnostic logs being transferred, which can be considerable especially if your feedback created a sysdiagnose file which is quite large. Once all that syncs to your Mac they are off loaded from the phone reducing system data significantly. Theoretically, and so I’ve been told, those files are shuffled and eliminated by the phone or iPad automatically at some point. But I sync my devices to my Mac every week and have not personally seen any automatic process occur.
