Not seeing in on ipod touch

Had to use computer (Finder) to update it.

How come that we get a full additional year of updates for the last iOS version and nobody comments on that? I mean, that is totally new, isn't it? iOS14 just got one update, those before none or only very intermittently when there were rare grave security risks to address (like iOS12). it always was "If you want security updates you have to upgrade to the newest version, and if you device can't, buy a new one". Now owners of iPhone SE 1st gen and iPad mini 4 for example got a full year extended support. Nice, and I want to commend Apple on that.

Actually, we will probably get a full 2 years of additional security updates on iOS 15, because iOS 16 dropped support for iPhone 6 & 7 series.

The reason why iOS14 didn’t get years of additional updates after the release of iOS 15 is because all of the machines that iOS 14 supported were also supported by iOS 15.

Has anyone noticed their phone running hotter since this update? I mean it’s summer and it’s been hot, but my screen seems to dim more and the phone feels hot just loading web pages. I just replaced the battery and it didn’t help.
