iOS 15 Beta 8 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Second beta in a row where my News stack on my iPad keeps the "Top Stories", but the rest of my stack with various topis I picked have all been substituted with multiple stacks of the same topic (in this case, "Science").

Hard restart does nothing...I simpy have to start from scratch and delete the Science widgets and re-stack with the topics I had before. Feedback sent.

My news widget changed from sport to food 🤦‍♂️😂

I’ve given up on it, can’t be bothered anymore.

Hopefully, knowing my luck, I’ll probably lose my number next. 😂

Off the charger just before 7am this morning, thrashing the phone all day on WiFi, 42% left in the tank 🔋 7 hours usage.

Beta 8 and battery life rock solid. 👌

Agree. Won’t bore you all with another battery screen grab of mine, but best day was:

10.5hrs screen time.
15% battery left.

yeah of course. But to anyone, this is how “I” use my phone, and it really works for my day-to-day lifestyle. Politely, I’m really not interested in what you think if I’m doing something wrong or wasting any potential on the phone. It’s my phone and I’m just replying to a message for deep1 👍🏼

siri - off
Screen - 50%
Notifications - only iMessage, WhatsApp. Everything else is badges.
No widgets.

Controversially, but works for me, I turn off location services system services that you don’t need on. If you turn something off an app needs, it will prompt you to put it back on. But things like, wifi calling. Why it needs my location. It works perfectly and hasn’t prompted me it needs this setting on.

EDIT: background app refresh is off.

I can’t seem to unsubscribe from an apple weather subscription from the App Store. Wondering if this is a bug as there used to be a cancel option but it’s no longer there.
