But accessibility ≠ health (mental or otherwise). Accessibility features are meant to be those that are specifically to improve ease of use of the phone for people who might otherwise struggle to use its standard interface for one reason or another. That's something distinctly different from a feature of the phone that helps people manage or prevent health issues (which is what this is). So I agree, whilst I can see this as being a useful feature, I think putting this in Accessibility is illogical, makes it difficult to find, and leaves it less likely to be discovered by someone who might benefit from it.

Well laid out. Yet also consider many Accessibility features needed by 'people who might otherwise struggle to use its standard interface for one reason or another' could not just be 'physically' limited but 'mentally' constrained.

example: MS affects motor control thus you'll have difficulty in controlling the interface. Some people are legally blind and not from physical reason (usually but some it's a disconnect somewhere within the cranium). Also consider some are born with challenges that may 'appear physical' in nature yet the root of the challenges is not.

As we begin to understand mental health more (ADD, ADHD, BPD) we'll start to see a connection where mental health needs may also be considered accessibility needs. Those I mentioned in this paragraph, many with severe symptoms LOVE the home button as its a mnemonic or fidget relaxation when using iPhone 8/SE/7/6/6S/5S etc.

We know Apple takes incredible care for accessibility features in all their devices and OS - leaps and bounds further than Android or Windows (to some degree).

While I agree with you, and I doubt mental health will be in accessibility - hopefully you can see some are related. Mental health needs most likely will be part of the Health app (Apple is moving Health to be re-branded Fitness I think).

Cheers.
