Happened to anyone else? I know there are threads about poor battery life (which has happened to me somewhat) but I'm talking about battery health. Pre beta I was at around 98% battery health. Right now the OS is telling me 92% and two days ago it said 89% (?). I'm not surprised as some apps on my phone cause this thing to overheat like I've never felt before.

I'm on 11 Pro Max BTW.

Also "it's a beta, you should have known what you're getting yourself into" is a useless comment that I'm very uninterested in seeing.

My 11 Pro was 98% a couple months back, before Apple released the "battery health recalibration" for iPhone 11 devices. It's now reporting 92%. I am however still on iOS 14. So I think it's the recalibration or it's a coincidence and our device's battery health is just losing capacity now.

I've been using my 12 Pro Max since I got it at launch last year with iOS 14 & 15 betas. I had 100% battery health up until about 5 weeks ago, now currently at 97%. As for your numbers fluctuating its probably just being reevaluated with the software updates.

I upgraded to iOS 15 with 98% battery health on my 12 Pro Max and it’s down to 93% now.

I thought I had started to notice this trend a few years back so closely monitored it this year.

I was at 100% Health until a few weeks before iOS 15 DP 1 was released. It dropped to 99%
Once I installed iOS 15 beta it was 98% it cont to drop and I am now on 95%

My guess Is that as the beta code is not optimised it hammers the battery causing the health to suffer. Early betas often have poor battery life between charges, phones get warm etc.

Just before starting the iOS 15 betas, mine was at 98%. Now showing 91%. 12PM
I think (hope) it is the betas, and will show higher when iOS 15 releases......

In past, i had install Public Beta's 2/3 and on-wards to all my devices but, this time around, there is no real excitement for me to put iOS 15 on my iphone and ipad air - both of them are fairly new devices but, after reading this post, i guess i will wait for the official release.

iPhone 11 Pro Max here
Was 91% health, after the update to iOS 15 beta 6 the percentage has dropped all the way to 86% in just 1 week
I’m also noticing that the battery is being drained while the device is locked doing nothing
Already sent the reports on feedback app but I’m considering rolling back to iOS 14 because my battery was just fine before the beta

Same here with my 12 mini. Beta 6 took it from 92% to 87%, beta 7 is the same :(

I've noticed a drop from 91 to 88% over the course of three public betas. 88% is probably the worst I've seen in a phone that's under 12 months old, but it's also really the first year that I have been wirelessly charging. Maybe the wireless charging impacts battery health too? I've had AppleCare plus for years and have never dropped or damaged an iPhone. I'm tempted to avoid the 13 upgrade this year just to make Apple replace the battery on the 12 Pro!

Mine is at 87% since more than a year. I don’t know how it is possible. Just updated my daily driver to iOS 15 and still 87%.

I got my 12 Pro in December 2020. Up until last week on iOS 14 it was reading 100% battery health. Now that I’ve installed iOS 15 it’s reading 96%

11 Pro. Battery health dropped to 81%. Was around 91 pre upgrade. Also, my battery life is now abysmal. Like, I'm typing this at 2pm eastern and I'm down to 30% life since 7am. Getting a 13 Pro tomorrow, so not too upset, but really wondering how the life on that is going to be.

iPhone 12 Pro, bought in April 2021. 100% battery health on iOS 14, 100% battery health on iOS 15. I am also using Coconut Battery which was reporting around 102% battery health, but it is now down to 100% (2840mAh).

Ugh I’m glad I read this thread before updating. I have a half marathon tomorrow and the last thing I need is further battery issues. Bought a 12 Pro last year - love the phone, DESPISE THE BATTERY, always have. Worst battery life on a phone I’ve ever owned.

I may want to upgrade just for this alone. I just realized I probably don’t want to own this phone. Just wish the 13 wowed me more instead of being willing to upgrade just to not keep my current phone. Maybe after I make my next payment I’ll see how much I can get for this 12….

My 1 year old iPhone 12 Pro pre-ios 15 was at 92%, and today, 4 days after installation, remains at 92%.
Same on my iPhone 12 (non-pro). Not sure what's up with 12 model line, but I've never seen it drop so fast in a year. Unless Apple just changed at how 'honest/realistic' the battery health meter is.

It will be interesting to see how the 13 does as year goes by.
