iOS 15 release more buggy than beta?

Is it just me or is the iOS 15 release buggier than the beta? I've been running the dev preview on all my devices for months, no issues at all. After release: Safari crashes at least twice per day, my iPad Pro went to a purple screen of death at least three times in a week. Anybody have similar experience?

the official release of ios 15 on my iPhone X is very smooth and fast compared to the beta

Absolutely no problems here, neither on my iPhone 12 or X nor on my iPad Pro 11" 2018.
Not a single crash of safari, not even one 3rd party app. Absolutely stable.

On my 12, I did a fresh install via .ipsw-file while on the X and the iPad, I updated OTA from the beta & RC versions.
