I see, it’s disappointing as it’s listed as a new feature on the uk Apple site ??‍♂️

Yea that’s odd. I just looked at Apple UK and it’s listed.

Richer Info pane

Swipe up on a photo or tap the new info button to view information about the photo, such as the camera, lens and shutter speed, the file size, or who sent a Shared with You photo in Messages. You can also edit the date taken or location, add a caption and learn about items detected by Visual Look Up.

Both of my suppliers told me that recent OS are dramatically heavier and a SSD (SATA or NVMe) is absolutely mandatory.
I haven't slowdowns and issues but compared with Mojave, Catalina with last patch is less reactive when I launch apps and CPU usage from activity monitor is dramatically higher (especially during multitasking).
I think it's basically only an OS issue (just to remember ironically the catastrophic experience on Windows Vista more than a decade ago).
Just to make an example: with the same apps opened with Mojave my inactive CPU is 97%, with Catalina last patch my inactive CPU is 90%; Memory usage at start with Mojave is 1.72 GB, Memory usage at start with Catalina last patch is 2.12 GB.
There are no issues about performance (only less reactivity when I launch apps), but according to my data Mojave is a more performing OS (less input/more output).

I’ve always gotten the 256gb because 512gb was overkill. But for some reason I did 1TB as well. Do I need it? No. Will I use it? No. Will it lose major resell value? Yes. If it weren’t for the 100,000 point bonus on my chase card that this will give me i would have probably stuck with 256.

I live in Dubai and have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Just took a look at a photo that I snapped yesterday and I see this:

I'm also able to hit the Add Location button on older photos that didn't have the location info

Yea that’s it. And you can edit the info on multiple photos too. Select them and use the share sheet.

I'm in Germany and I also have this richer metadata. Afaik, only the visual lookup feature is limited to the US.
