Disabling App badges entirely is good idea that everyone should consider. I did this for Mail a while ago because I had very unhealthy habits with checking email. I finally decided: if its important, there is Slack or calling me on the phone. If you send it via email, it isn't important, so don't expect a response immediately. It definitely lowered anxiety.

I did that for Facebook and anything social media a long time ago. I check it on my time and feel zero obligation because I don’t know what I’m missing … and it’s glorious!

- AoD ( Always on Display ). come on Apple this is an important feature we'd like to get on iPhone's.

- Darker dark mode, meaning even icons and stuff would go dark as well.

- Themes and icon packs officially supported and baked into stock iOS 15. Because last year with iOS 14 and the Shortcuts app allowing some customization that was never available on a non JB iPhone before, people expected Apple to realize it was a fan favorite and much welcomed feature to be able to do icon packs and stuff, so lots expected Apple to take notice and go with it, making it a stock feature that they could have developers charge money for and Apple wouid make coin too. Kinda surprised Apple wouldn't welcome themes or what is available to.do right now in iOS 14 but make it work without needing Shortcuts app at least.

After loading ipados 15 I found myself spending the first 30 minutes undoing and disabling most of the changes that loaded automatically.
Delete all the widgets I have no interest in. Rearrange my apps back to the order I wanted before the widgets messed them up. Spend 10 minutes figuring out how to remove the App Library icon from my dock.
App compatibility is definitely a problem this go around, assuming it has to do with the security changes. Going to be a lot of complainers when the public beta goes live because of that.
Not a fan of the new Safari layout, not on the iPad at least. Integrating the address bar into the tab itself is visually weird and finicky in use. I was closing tabs when I was trying to open the address bar. I’m sure they’ll work the bugs out with the next couple revisions but there’s a long way to go.
Still can’t believe Apple hasn’t brought smart gesture controls to safari when browsing with the Apple Pencil. Things like double tapping on the pencil to go back etc. It seems like such a simple and natural thing to implement but nope.
And don’t even get me started on the continued lack of true multiuser support.
What is apple thinking with this phoned in update?

So we STILL can’t hide app labels?

Still can’t select a custom photo for my photo widget? (Hiding app labels would fix this for 3rd party photo widgets)

Hi! Do you think it's safe to install it on iPhone 12 Max pro ?

Agreed. Yes, Apple have offered alternative options. But, I still find it rather odd, after over a decade, Apple still do not offer the option to place icons ANYWHERE on ones device screen.

Odd, just bloody odd...

It’s amazing that Windows 3.0 circa 1990 on a 640KB RAM machine has better Home Screen management than iOS/iPadOS 15
But- the thing is, it’s a choice by Apple- not that they can’t do it. It’s an aesthetic thing. Like it or not, but that’s the fact.
Anyone see their iPadOS portrait mode now only 4 apps across? Annoying.
Is that true? That would be annoying as the icons would be in different places.

Things that still haven't changed:

1. I just wish iCloud mail automatically synced read status across devices, it still doesn't (since forever)
2. Safari bookmarks still don't display favicons
3. Can't clear all new notifications all at once unless there is at least one old notification present
4. Can't protect Hidden Photos
5. Can't search phone recents
6. Can't search blocked contacts
7. Can't customize the two shortcuts at the bottom of the lock screen
8. Can't disable Shortcuts completion popup whenever you run a Shortcut from home screen
9. Can't see which number/email I receive a FaceTime call on
10. Can't see which number/email I receive an iMessage on
11. Can't see full URLs in Safari
12. Can't turn off smart addresses in Mail
3, 9 & 10 all worked fine in earlier versions of iOS (to clarify i mean a few versions back...)
Them they had to go mess it all up. It's been pissing me off since.

I didn't see it but hoping someone did - have they announced any way to lock iphone view in landscape? coming from android recently and it's something driving me a little crazy as my bike mount only holds my phone in landscape and it seems to flip back to portrait too easily (I'll start my journey in landscape but it always seems to move to portrait)

Correction, Apple won’t allow you to put icons where they don’t want you to.
Maybe one day they'll allow us to disable the home bar, maybe in 2099.🙄 after they've added more Animoji customisations

I noticed There is no longer an option for Setting Notifications and I now have a red 1 badge icon in Settings that I can’t get rid of!

I agree #8 is ridiculous. Luckily, I found this video for how to disable:

Unfortunately, every time you restart the phone it goes back to enabled so you'll have to follow those steps again to disable. PITA but it's worth it for me as I run a lot of shortcuts and automations.

Too bad it's not planned on iOS 15 to be able to organize the app library; either automatically as is already the case, or manually we would put apps where we want.
