A small annoying thing is happening on my iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 16.1 beta on it...

The Phone icon keeps telling me I have a missed call, even after I go into the "Recents" list, and check "All" and "Missed", the count stays on the Phone icon.

Only a restart of the iPhone erases the missed call icon...

Is this just me, or is anyone else having this issue?

How many times has this happened? You say a restart fixed the icon badge, so did it come back?

AFAIK I've only experienced this from time to time with the Mail app.

A restart of the iPhone clears it, but it repeats next time I miss a call... This is pretty consistent and has happened the last couple of days...

Maybe you have an unplayed or stuck voicemail? Try checking in the voicemail tab and also by calling your voicemail.

Other thing I would try is clearing out your recents by clicking edit->clear?

Regarding the voicemail, I thought so too, but no, I do not have any unplayed voicemails, just a bunch of saved ones.

I will try and clear my recent calls list - I just am hesitant doing that, as I have a really long list I actually use to see when I talked to people.

I’ve been getting an empty red notification dot on my phone app icon (without a number in it); don’t know what that’s about. I think it clears when I open the app and tap through all the tabs.

I had that about 4-5 years ago. It was a glitch with voicemail. Re-entering the vm password cleared things up (Settings > Phone > Change vm password).
