I barely get any type of sleep. This would drive me crazy. Las Vegas is open 24/7. So, No sleep.
Hmm, from what I've heard from a friend who lived there for Grad school, you can get a lot of non-strip 24/7 life as well in Vegas. I guess it depends on your priorities/interests? 🤷‍♂️

8HR and 57MIN in bed... on a WEDNESDAY! My 6-hour average is jealous over here

Right there with you. I want to sleep 8+ hours but my body is ready to rock and roll after 6.5 -7.

And to think, this is from the company that once upon a time introduced digital device users to the concept of human interface design.

This might not be very helpful if you have external things forcing you into a certain bedtime, but our rhythms affects our wakefulness as much as whether we've slept enough.

If you're sleeping 6.5 hours and still waking up naturally, it might be because that's your natural wake up time so your body kicks into gear even if you're under-sleeping, which is why you can pull an all-nighter and feel exhausted, but still feel a rise in energy and decrease in sleepiness around your wake-up time, even if you haven't slept.

It might be worth experimenting with earlier bedtimes to see if you can find a rhythm that works with that wake up time but with more sleep.

Obviously you might also just need less sleep than average! But sleep can be a lot more important than many of us think and not getting enough can have disastrous consequences on our health, some of which won't show up until we hit older ages when the damage is done and irreversible, so it's always worth a couple weeks of experimenting with your cycle.

When I'm out I'm out like a light and there's no chance my body wakes me up naturally until I've had enough, and it's such a pain, so I am slightly jealous of your ability to naturally rise, though 😂

I believe it is.
I use their sleep tracking with sleep schedules and I can confirm it stops tracking at wake up time, and it doesn't start tracking again until bedtime. It's incredibly frustrating.

Another user said you can get around this by not using schedules and entering sleep focus manually, which is fair, but I feel like schedules are a good tool to encourage routine and if I'm sleeping so wildly that my sleep is falling outside of my schedule, then I clearly need help getting into routine, right?

Seems pretty counterproductive the way it works.

I'm also very disappointed they've brought temperature change sensors to the Apple Watch and haven't incorporated this into their sleep tracking. If it can sense the changes that happen during the menstrual cycle, it should be accurate enough to track changing in the circadian cycle, too, and by measuring a user's 24-hour temperature cycle for a week or so, the watch would be able to recommend a sleep schedule that is physically most beneficial to the user.

I'm guessing you need an Apple watch later than the series 3 for this to work properly. Would love to have more accurate sleep tracking. Super important for brain health and also Alzheimer's prevention as well I believe.
Works just as well with a Withings sleep tracker under the mattress. I prefer that way since I have trouble with sleeping with a wearable on.

Why the wake up screen on my watch doesn't show time asleep astounds me. WTF. The first thing I want to know is how long I was out...... so now I am awake and mildly annoyed each morning.

I might be alone on this, but I find the lock screen widgets wholly unhelpful.

All data important to me is on the AW in a complication. Not sure how I would make it better, but this implementation misses the mark for me. Maybe if I didn't have an AW ...

What widgets are "game-changers" for people? Maybe I am "using it wrong".

I use Autosleep for this, and the complications available for the AW are great. Get up in the middle of the night, and I can see my sleep "progress" with a glance at the watch.

Gonna get ads for sleep tracking/sleeping pills if we don't meet a sleep goals!

I took off every widget. I didn't use them, and they added nothing for me. I wish now I could turn off the wallpaper completely (and leave the time, so I can glance at it). Certainly, I'm glad for those those people who wanted the widgets, but when I use the Things widget or something that like, it still opens the app, right? It's not a quick entry and disappearing immediately, so it saves about a half second and clutters my Lock Screen.
