""You get what you pay for" when using Google! Beware"
Not sure that's true. But you always pay for what you get. Nothing is free.
You are using Google if you use any component of iCloud! Such a rediculous comment. Even APPLE trusts Google!

Haha good point! 🤣Security update! I don't trust Google so I stay away from Google Photos.
You mean Apple didn't test theirs properly during beta?Excellent security fix 😂
Seriously tho, is it because they didn’t test their apps properly during beta?
How's the SOT and battery on 16.3.1?Just updated my 12 Mini to 16.3.1 . Google Photos works, and it does not crash.
I made that choice years ago. Data security is a theatrical farce. If you’re using Google anything, you’ve already made the choice that data security isn’t your priority.

Mine worked too until I updated Google Photos app also.Just updated my 12 Mini to 16.3.1 . Google Photos works, and it does not crash.
ExactlyJust to note, back in 2019 (four years after launch) Google Photo's had 1 Billion Users.
Four years on from that in 2023 I would guess that's a lot higher.
I know we don't always like actual facts here, but felt it may help some less biased readers![]()
The irony in this paragraph. It’s like Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge truck wars. Just a bunch of jerkwad keyboard warriors with verbal diarrhea thinking that their opinion is going to magically sway someone else.
I don’t think it has anything to do with entitlement. I believe Apple should increase the free storage tier to line up with the usage of their customers and the storage capacity of their own devices. For example, the original iPhones had internal storage of 4 or 8 GB. Now they start at 64 GB. And Apple has over one billion iPhone users today. The potential revenue would remain enormous, so they would (presumably) still make plenty of money from the higher tiers. I need at least 200 GB and would move to a higher tier if it wasn’t quite so expensive — or if the Apple One bundles offered more storage for the price. As I said in my original post, this is simply my personal opinion.Multiply 50GB by 1+ million users? That's a ton of infrastructure to pay for without actually collecting any revenue for it. Talk about entitlement. Nothing in life is free.
100% Agree. It's hilarious seeing the sheeple here simply blast Google Photos. Let me guess 95% of the complainers about Google Photos have never even tried the product or service. It's a good one. It's simply disturbing to me how so closed minded some people can be to complain about something they don't even understand.
