How's your experience been with your iPhone 14 Pro on the latest firmware 16.3? I've always had pretty awful battery life with the 14 Pro and I don't want to ruin my battery life even more for some features that I won't even use on iOS 16.3.

Horrible. I installed RC IPSW over the RC via my Mac (option + check for update) and it’s a little better.
The Mail and Photos app have been going wild in the background, but even after settling down it’s still crap.

but with 12+ years under my belt with iPhones, I’ve found that betas have better battery life than RC/GA.

I have a 14 Pro 512GB; wife has 13 Pro.

Terrible battery here on mine. My Samsung S10+ lasted longer!

Same experience on my 13 Pro
Ungraded from 15.7.2 to 16.3 RC
Best battery life ever on my phone dispite the battery capacity down to 92%

Exactly the same daily usage

Jees. I have an iPad Pro M2 which I was considering updating from it's initial version (16.1) to 16.3. Maybe I shouldn't do that?

With all the talk of poor battery life above, not all data points are bad.
My phone (14 Pro) has great battery life on 16.3.
But I realize everyone's circumstances are different.

I’ve been having battery drain on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Can’t seem to get rid of it. I used to end my days with ~50% battery life. I’m at 20% right now with only 5.5 hours of SOT.
