I can’t tell if this is paranoia or a recently fixed bug back from the grave but can anyone else shed some light on how your camera sounds when you recently updated?

I can hear this too on my five day old iPhone 13. Only if I put my ear pretty much on to the camera, though.

From reading online, it appears to be normal. So I'm not worried.

I'm still on iOS 16.3.1 with my iPhone 14 Pro. I can clearly hear the hissing sound. So not specific to iOS 16.4.1. Should be coil whine or something similar as someone else suggested (which appears correct in physical context).

BTW, never listened to my camera, but this thread made me curious :D

Hey guys I am noticing this issue on my iPhone 14 pro max on the ios16.4.1 update. Should I try to send it back or is this just this update? Since it’s never done it in the past

No noise on 14 Pro Max - 16.4.1. Practically shoved the phone in my ear and couldn’t hear anything. Normally with ambient air flow and sounds nothing short of a loud hiss would be audible. But I was curious seeing this thread. Have not seen any other reports of this. There are some articles from a year or two ago about some possible “coil” noise when shooting video. I never heard that either on my old phones.
