I'm glad that Shortcuts got some attention. I thought they were already on life support after not getting any new functionality when iOS 16 and Ventura were released.

Good that they've made it possible to deal with multiple displays. That seemed like an obvious omission before.

I wish you were able to allow shortcuts to get icon notification badges. For example if I want to use a different icon for say the mail app and use a shortcut to customize the icon there is no way currently to get a notification badge on the shortcut icon.

Does anyone know a good Short Cut Action to set the iPhone Charging not to exceed 80% for the battery?
In all seriousness, this is probably the closest you can get to this kind of shortcut

I'm a geek, but old. I really haven't spent time to learn how shortcuts work, and I'm a bit depressed that these sort of things aren't simple. But as I said, I'm no longer a young geek and just don't want to spend time learning.

Just a mild rant. Don't mean to offend anyone. In the old days the QT scripting stuff that very few people investigated was so important to me. Times change.😀
Same here. Shortcuts appears to be nothing more than a method to add features the original developer did not think to include in their apps. Worse, apps that need some of these features added to them do not allow you to access their internals vis shortcuts. 😂

And no shortcut to enable lockscreen backlight. Would be great when triggering wakeup routines.

When will this be fixed?

Shortcuts is set to speak the weather forecast (Siri) when snoozing the alarm. Siris voice stutters and is chopped off.
After second snooze the voice is normal.
Must be a problem with deep sleep maybe?

Shortcut to restarting my iPhone & iPad is great. Long overdue but where is a shortcut to call someone and having audio out through speaker. Please Apple it shouldn’t be hard.

Edit: the restart shortcut won’t restart my iPhone 14 Pro. It simply shut it down. WTH Apple!?!
Edit 2: After a few tries now it restarts.
Where did you find the restart shortcut? I looked through the gallery and I couldn't find anything?

Add action in a shortcut then search for Shut Down. After adds it just click on it & change it to restart.
