Hmm once again after the update I had no (zero bars) cellular signal requiring a reboot. Wondering if selecting "yes" on the use cellular question when starting the update is causing it? I used to always say no but lately have answered yes. Never had this issue before. Anyone else been having this issue with the 16 betas?

I always say Yes to cellular but no issues. Have you tried resetting Network settings?

No. Hate to do that as I have several saved wi-fi sites saved in places I rarely visit and don't really want to blow those out. :) Not the end of the world if I loose them but also not the end of the world that I now have to reboot after an update to get cellular back. More just curious what is causing it all of a sudden as I have never had an issue before.
The "yes" is only something I have changed of recent so wondering if that may contribute to it since it has something to do with cellular.

I may just do the reset at some point but as stated its only JUST after an update on the first boot and I never have an issue afterwards. Won't really know if that fixes it until the next update if I do it. Anyway thanks for the feedback.

Hi, FYI if you go to Wi-Fi settings on the phone and hit the “edit” button on the top right, you can see all your saved Wi-Fi networks, and their passwords. Interestingly, only on this page you can screenshot your password for each SSID and the password actually appears in the photo—unlike the website password list, where the password is omitted from the screenshot when you attempt to capture it.

I go to that edit page every so often and forget all the SSIDS from random hotels and airports, and I have screenshots of all the important ones saved on my device in my hidden photo folder. It comes in handy when I need to do network resets (which I do after every new iOS release—for me it really helps resolve fussy connections). YMMV!

I’ve never encountered this problem as far as I can remember. And I am always saying No to use cellular data for update

Any idea why I can't find the update? I am on 16.6 b2 on 13P 🤔

iPhone 13/mini/Pro/Max: 2.80.00

Why are there never any release notes explaining what the MODEM updates are, only the iOS? I mean, I'm at least a little curious why they had to fix something or upgrade something to 2.80.00. Something to do with certain 5G bands? Boring crap like edge case errors?

Thanks, this is an extremely useful tip.

I upgraded to 16.6ß3 today. Driving home (about two hour drive) I was using Apple Maps and listening to a podcast, I answered a phone call and after a few minutes everything locked up. couldn't see the map, listen to the podcast or talk on phone. I had to turn off the car to get anything to respond. Not sure if this is iOS related or a weird fluke with my Honda Ridgeline.
