I don't see it on 13P. Is this some trickery from Apple to get us to install iOS 17?!

The attached image states that the update is still available for devices eligible for 17, however it isn’t appearing. Probably a hold over from 16.7.2 that apple forgot to update. Hoping that isn’t the case.

Is anyone with the 14ProMax still rocking ios16?
I actually don’t want to upgrade to ios 17 since the phone runs great on this 16.7.2 version, great battery, no bugs, am I missing something important from ios17?

I'm rocking 16.7.2 on my iPhone 14 Pro. I won't be upgrading to iOS 17 just yet.

There are no more iOS 16 updates for devices capable of running 17 unfortunately
That is unfortunate... iPadOS 17 already sucks on my iPad 6, I wouldn't wanna screw up my iP11 as well...

Planned obsolescence is real...

Same here on my 14 pro. I have no reason to upgrade. My phone works perfectly! Sometimes change sucks.

I think there is still a bug where phones are rebooting randomly overnight on iOS 17. 16.7.2 is so rock solid I don’t want to mess it up.

The only thing that interests me is being able to use the 48mp camera shots in the HIEF format. Other than that I don’t see anything actually useful to me!

This is the first year I’m seeing this. Previously in the software update screen, it was always the newest first, then scroll down and then it would say “also available: ” and then the latest dot dot release for the previous iOS version.
Did apple break this tradition?

This effectively means that users still on iOS 16 don’t get the latest vulnerability patches.

I assume apple is trying to get people to update to iOS 17. Guess I’m stuck on 16.7.2 for the long run, unless somehow iOS 17 doesn’t murder my 13P battery anymore.
