I know Apple did not mention AOD for iOS16 which has been rumored for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, as developers start getting iOS16 downloaded today, is there a chance that Apple has code for AOD that will hint that we are getting it this year?

That could technically happen, but they go out of their way to make sure that unreleased-feature-related code is removed during betas.

It will be for new iPhones only, else they would of mentioned it. As said above, they will keep it out (or try) of the betas.

The new Lock Screen stuff visually alone points to AOD coming with the new phones, with the complications on there now.
That is kind of what I was thinking with the widgets, etc being added but I did not want to get my hopes up lol

It’s probably coming but will be limited to this years iteration of the iPhone 14.

That editing and unsending iMessages is a game changer even though those type of features have been available on other messaging apps for years now. I wish they would have added scheduling messages too, but that will probably arrive in a few years.

Definitely, that's not in question, in my books. They need something device specific, and I think this is one of the times where it's genuinely because of the hardware (screen & battery combo, as they love to make sure there's good battery life to show off).
