Backup

Known Issues

  • When the user restores from an iCloud Backup, the restore can fail repeatedly in Setup Assistant if the device restarts while there’s an in-progress restore from an iCloud Backup happening in Setup Assistant. (93466172)
Workaround: Set up the device as new, use Erase All Contents and Settings, and then try to restore from an iCloud Backup again.

Interested to see how it affects the battery health on my IP13PM

After installing previous years, I noticed a big dent on battery health percentage.

I am on the latest iOS15 beta and currently at 100% health….. preparing the iOS16 B1.

Will report back
Usually after any update a lot of things run in the background for a few days, which in turn hits the batter life. AFter it settles down, the battery is either back to what we expected or better. We shall see on this as I am installing it now on my 13 pro.

Add to top Wiki-post? It may prevent some of the upcoming battery posts..

Updated 12PM

-- Modem is 3.02.00
-- big bold text on my Lock Screen (lol)
-- Search bar at the bottom of the Home screen above the dock
-- Settings shows family members under your iCloud profile
-- Lots of new wallpapers based around the new adaptive lock screens
-- Starling Bank (UK) working for me. Natwest UK pops up saying verifying device and seems to be working fine.
-- On the Safari Share page, options button is bigger, and easier to tap now, otherwise very much the same
-- Notes is now grouped/tabbed by last edited date
-- New Graphic/Text describing Ring & silent mode under Sounds & Haptics
-- Settings > General > About > iOS Version is now a modal type effect with more detail

-- Control Centre very much the same
-- App store is about the same
-- Weather app is about the same >> Clicking a day opens a modal with more information hourly. Precipitation map now shows minutes rather than hourly
-- Whatsapp is working
-- Ring is working
-- Instagram is working
-- Twitter is working

Assuming battery will stink, however hopefully Diablo works. HaHa!

It’s the reported battery health percentage I am talking about.

phone restarted and is displaying the same percentage…. Interesting

now let’s see if all that background work you mention affects the health

I thought the modem would stay the same as wiki notes indicated but actually went to 2.04.00.
Hoping this helps my WiFi dropping off issue. (Iphone13)

Although swipe down to search on iPad works way better than iPhone.

I've also turned off the search for appearing on my screen
