A few new things I've noticed. if I translate something in safari, it translates even the text of the photos. and now i can change the targets of the watch rings from the iphone, not just on the watch.

There seems to be something majorly wrong with wifi. I upgrade 2 iPhones, 2 ipads, 3 HomePods, 2 appleTVs and every single one of them fails to connect to wifi. I have to go into every device and manually connect to wifi… I can’t figure out (havn’t tried hard yet) to get HomePods to connect to wifi.

even for the devices that I manually connect, if I reboot or turn off wifi.. it never connects again to know wifi.

I have an Orbi 850 series.

anyone else having issues with wifi?

Yes. It‘s still possible. You are also able to disable the new search icon on the lower third part of the homescreen.

Found this setting (new I think) within Accessibility, Touch called Lock to send Call. It was on by default which would be a problem for me as I use the lock / power button to lock the screen if I’m a call so wouldn’t want it to end with that action.

I quite like the way the backgrounds morph. I know previous versions had some fading but the perspective stuff was never this heavy was it? Maybe I’m overthinking it lol.

Yes, it can. Just looks a little different. Siri Suggestions at the top of the screen, and the search bar at the bottom, just above the keyboard.

Yeah it’s bloody clever. I’ve lost count how many cut outs I’ve done in photoshop or indesign… so to have this in a heart beat on a phone… quality!

Or you lift it, holding it with one finger, and with the other hand you swipe up up to home screen und open the desired app to drop it

Sounds like it works pretty much the same way as moving a regular picture or other object (like a block of copied text). Which is not bad. Just not different.

If anyone has the preview up and running, please could you check if an option for the below has been added into the Mail app?

Go to: Settings > Mail > Accounts > { Tap any regular imap account } > Advanced

Under the "Mailbox Behaviors" section, please tell me what options are listed.

On Monterey I get an option to specify the "Junk Mailbox", whereas on iOS 15 I don't. It's so very annoying.

The same feature on both platforms is different.

If someone could check whether the Mail app on iOS 16 allows you to specify a Junk Mailbox folder, that would be fantastic!

Junk Mailbox not there at least not for Gmail

How can you copy it? A longpress selects the object, I‘m able to move it arround within the photo, but I can‘t figure out how to copy and paste it into another app like iMessage.

Long press, don't move your finger, release. A "Copy | Share" handle pops up. And the selected image will be outlined in an animation that runs along the edges of the selected image. You can then copy and paste anywhere. If, after you long-press, you move your finger / the image before releasing, the copy | share handle does not pop up.

Good find. I do the same thing. That would be annoying to have it end the call.

Yes, it can. The sneaky little two finger flick in-app doesn't appear to work any more though

iCloud private relay settings is missing from iCloud settings. But still shows up as a searchable setting that takes you to iCloud settings with no option.

ok I know this sounds stupid, but dam Safari is faster and noticeable (no joke). for me the iPad 16 beta 1 is actually pretty stable (knock on wood) lot more apps etc that still work.

Is it only the Pro iPhones that can do the fancy cut out infront of the time?

EDIT: you need to select people up top first.

Seems like the Face being above the clock effect goes away as soon as you start adding widgets to the box below the clock.
