Huh, I didn’t even know this was an option over 5G already. Most backups may still happen over WiFi anyway, but it seems like a good option when away from home and hotel WiFi isn’t cutting it.
Where is ‘here’? If I’m correct, you’re in Germany. O2’s unlimited at 500mb/s is half of that. I’m actually on an unlimited 500mb/s contract from them for 10€ a month, if I take out the monthly cost of the phone which came with the contract.
In the USA my prepaid plan is $25/mo + taxes for unlimited calls & texts +5GB data which is a pretty good deal for me. I never come close to using all the data but it is nice to have when my internet goes down and I need to hot spot.

Would love to have the option of restoring from iCloud backup using data. Having a phone restored or replaced at the Apple store and then having to wait to get your data back across to have a useable phone is pretty frustrating.
Even have it behind a disclaimer that requires passcode or similar to verify that there may be additional costs to those who don't have unlimited plans.
