iOS 16 .ipsw install with macOS Monterey

Hello, I want a clean install with the DB ipsw. Do I still need the xcode beta on the mac to install the ipsw on my iPhone?

You will need the MobileDevice.pkg at least, otherwise the install will fail

And I get the pkg when I install xcode beta right? I know the Mobile.pkg alone is enough but I want a fail safe install over the ipsw. 🙂

once you download Xcode, unzip it and go to show package contents (right click on app) then route too > Resources > Packages > MobileDevice.pkg.

you can delete Xcode after that!

I installed iOS 16 B1 using the Finder + IPSW file this way.

I just installed xcode beta and let it on my mac and installed iOs16 trough the .ipsw like you.
I wanted a clean install.
