In the press release, footnote 1 to the description of Live Activities does not mention any limitation to particular phone or iPad models. See, in contrast, footnote 7 (discussing the Door Detection and People Detection features) where those features are phone/iPad limited.
So I think the take away from that is that Live Activities will be available for all phones that support iOS 16.

The absolute funniest thing Apple could do now is to release B4 this weekend, when nobody expects it. That would put ants in everyones head, regarding speculations about the upcoming betas. It would be wild…
Looks like my dreams of a Fairy Godmother making a carriage out of an Apple and magically dropping a new beta at midnight didn’t happen.

Speculation always leads to mass de-beta….. (ok, that’s a stretch….)
So Apple took out the charging percentage on the Lock Screen while plugged in and charging on iOS 16 PB1.
I’m guessing they’re gonna make us use the larger LS battery widget in order to see it…?
At least that’s the only way I can view it when waking Lock Screen as of now.

I’d say there’s pretty close to zero chance on a Friday.
And I’m in the Central time zone this weekend and it’s already 10am PDT and looks like I’m correct. Will know for sure in about 7 minutes.
There were quite a few Friday releases in the past. Not out of the equation but it‘s next week anyways due to rerelease.
Don’t disagree…except during this summer cadence. I think that you will find few if any Friday beta drops in the run up to the major version release.
In any event, it didn’t happen and it will be next week. Likely Tuesday/Wednesday.
