Any hope for 16.2 fixing this? It's 16 for sure, a 13Pro W 15.7 : all good, 13Pro W 16.1.1 : dead. Many references to this on various forums.

Any more information? How is it dead? Did you try to drop by an Apple store and ask them? Maybe they will replace it for you.

Just discovered that iOS 16 breaks the Apple HDMI lightning adapter because of new HDCP requirements from streaming providers.

Even the Apple TV app no longer streams video!

Has anybody tried it with a new HDMI 2.0 cable or newer? My cable is the older HDMI 1.x cable.

Right now the only solution is to go out and buy an Apple TV box.

So it works as long as you aren't playing video?

I've noticed that our Walmart has stopped selling the adaptor, probably because people are returning them in droves. o_O
Apple needs to prioritize an update in iOS 16 to make it compliant and work or they're never going to sell another adapter again.
