For me it fixed the AirDrop bug, whereby my iOS 17.0 devices would fail “see” other devices running previous iOSs or macOSs. This alone was well worth updating. 👍

So…@banglazed…are we going to have a 17.0.2 thread too?

Is there news the older iPhones will get the new battery health features of limiting the charge to certain percentage and the ability to view the cycles? This shouldn’t be an IP15 exclusive feature.
Apple hasn't mentioned any plans to bring it to older devices so far.

Can anyone else confirm that the Notification-Center stuttering issue still persists in this new build as well as the new 15/15 Pro modells? Im curious about that.

This Notification Center bug seems to affect all Face ID models that has the 'Search' function Enabled in the Home Screen settings in the Settings app.

If you scroll between your pages on the home screen, the swipe down to open the notification center, it is very noticeably lagging/dropping frames.
It can be reproduced on all models.
Sadly, since no new Build has been released, this issue still persists. (And everyone who updates will have it as a bug, as it seems..).

most of ya'll keep up, but just in case it's helpful: sounds like there's a pretty embarrassing bug:

That is why 17.0.2 was released alongside 17.0.1 for the transfer issue. Hopefully everyone updates the new iPhone before setting it up

I can still reproduce it on 17.0.1. I didn't know this was a thing until recently since I keep that button turned off.

Is iCloud restore very slow for anyone on 17 or 17.0.1?
It normally takes awhile about 30 minutes or so but I don’t restore backup anymore other than just sign in to resync the data back on the new iPhone. Everyone might be hammering it with iCloud backup and restore.

Today my iPhone13mini updated twice: first to iOS16.7, then to iOS17.0.1. Odd.

Also today my AppleTV4K updated from iOS16.6 to iOS17. Took a looooong time (26 minutes to complete).

I didn’t get stuck on an Apple logo loop but the transfer itself just never completed-the spinner continued for close to 15 minutes when I tapped the x to end the process and then was able to dismiss the option of a restore on my new 15PM, that brought up the option to install 17.0.2 after which everything proceeded normally with no waiting.

Has anyone come across the issue where you keep getting the pop up showing you that you can change the click behavior during phone calls on AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro 2 ? I can’t seem to pinpoint what makes it happen but I keep getting the pop up and it changes the behavior “back” to default so that 1 click mutes the phone call and 2 clicks hangs it up. I have used Airpods for way too long to have it change the default behavior From hanging up the phone to simply putting it on mute. It’s driving me nuts.
