This is new

Not new to iOS 17.1, but it is new to iOS 17 and exclusive to iPhone 15 models.

You guys weren't kidding about the restore problems. I tried to erase and restore a backup on 17.1 and now my install is corrupted. Any attempt to sign in to my Apple ID fails verification and trying to erase the device via Settings errors out. Redownloading from the dev portal now.

Has anyone with ios 17.1 b1 and watchOS 10.1 b1 gone back to ios 17.0.2?

I know you're supposed to align the iOS and watchOS versions, but just curious if it actually breaks watch stuff if you go back to 7.0.2 and keep watch on 10.1 b1

I did it, went back to iOS 17.0.2 and my U1 on 10.1b, so far so good

Anybody else having the same issue with the reminders widget? Does not allow me to specify the list, only shows "inbox"

*Tried all different sizes

May need a 3rd party app to see if I can get that worked around for now

Edit: A deeper dive shows that iCloud.com doesn't have any of the "scheduled" task list.

- Scheduled (Built in list)
- This week (which is a Smart list)
- Today (Built in list)

Did the new update remove the updated ringtones and alert tones? After I updated everything switched to default. Hopefully they bring them back.

Yes it did. The thinking is that the 17.1 b1 build predates the fork where the new tones were added in. There seems to be a high level of confidence that they’ll be back, perhaps as early as beta 2.

How were you able to go back to 17.0.2 from the 17.1 beta?
I used 3Utools to downgrade.

I copied all photos from camera roll using 3Utools to a folder in desktop to restore after downgrade. I let it erase all settings and data. Downgraded to 17.0.2 and then restored camera roll again using 3Utools.

But setting up an iPhone from scratch downloading 50+ apps and setting most of them by logging into various accounts was a serious effort.

Was it worth it? Yes totally because now the battery life on my 14 Pro Max is rocking !! I am at 50% before going to bed and my battery health is 99% too.
