I sure hope it's possible to watch video I've shot with my Insta360 camera on the AVP. I'm seeing U2 at the Sphere in LV on Wednesday and I'm hoping they will let me bring my One X camera inside.

Swapped camera positions, which was initially reported to accommodate the periscope lens in the 15 Pro Max.

The main lens and a crop of the wide lens are used for stereo vision. The image below show the lenses on the 14 Pro, with the arrows showing the swap between tele and wide on the 15 Pro.

So if I hold my 14 Pro vertical it should do the same thing.

More like at 45 degrees to keep the lenses parallel to the horizon, and then it would still be vertical video which would be odd to view in a headset. I don’t think people who want to shoot lopsided videos are the target audience for Vision Pro.

However, the 14 Pro will shoot horizontal video after some slight modification:

Apple is eventually going to need to match the front facing camera to the back camera on the iphone and ipads so people can shoot 360 degree video for the AVP.

Bulbous lens bumps on both the front and back of the device? I don’t think that will be well received…

Good to know about it but will not be needing it anytime now. Don't think Vision Pro will be available in my country any time soon.

I'm not sure if I want or will get the Apple Vision Pro, I think it's pretty cool but don't see how it will be useful/ helpful in my everyday lifestyle. But.. I am going to go ahead a record my videos this way to make my video's more future proof.

Follow up to my earlier post, I shot a few songs of the U2 show at the Sphere with my Insta360 One X camera and the video is now up on YouTube. I can't wait to watch it on the AVP!

Smart idea, 👏

They should be doing this anyway...
Most young people consume video via Instagram and TikTok and YouTube Shorts on their phone while holding it in portrait mode, so they also shoot video in portrait mode. As annoying as this is, it has been a growing trend for the last few years.

I know you can replay it on a 3d TV. Has anyone seen a step-by-step process from after you take the video to getting it to the TV?
:)
