iPhone 15 PM also got the spinning wheel that pops up regularly.

Apple Configurator can see the device in recovery mode but cannot do anything except prepare (reflash the device)
It wont even see my phone when the spinning wheel is showing

iPad Pro 12.9 updated to beta 2 fine.

I managed to connect it to the MBP, update failed, so now it's restoring.

Luckily I managed to get through the update unscathed. Came from 17.3 Beta 1 and was stressed that I would have the same issue as has been reported.

would rather not restore but it is what it is with betas i guess
Yeah same here, especially since my iCloud backup is 17.3 beta 1 and I don't have 17.2.1 backup. Ah well, it is what it is. They really should leave those restore images of the previous beta up a bit longer.

15PM OTA WiFi6
Killed all background apps

Other than the missing progress bar it went okay. Took about 20 minutes most of which was “preparing”.
Phone got warm - 98.2F as measured on the back panel.

Just in case someone clicked Update Now before reading comments(I did), this is how you can stop it:

1) Open iPhone Settings and tap General.
2) Tap iPhone Storage.
3) Once this screen loads, scroll down to find and tap and select the iOS update file.
4) Tap Delete Update and confirm that you want to delete it.
5) Stop Automatic Software Update

People on Reddit also reporting the same issue with 14Pro/14PM.

Meanwhile my second attempt after restoring is now in Preparing...
