Guess it's time for one of the most fun parts of any update: working out how I can slide all these emojis into conversations online.

It's quite fitting to see the chain breaking and a shaking head along with an App store for the EU to circumvent the Apple garden.

Where will it end? Why can this childish crap not be optional? 1 million emojis, who needs this?

Invest your energy into features that actually have some benefit for your users, apple!

Until I knew better, I would have agreed. However, I find emoji to be critical for text-based communication. SO many times, people have misinterpreted the "tone" of a message. Emojis can help to rectify that by communicating mood, tone, emotion.

:) "Happy"
 "Cool, I agree"
 "OMG, really?" (sarcastic)
o_O "WTH am I looking at?"
 "You're kidding, right?
 "WHOA! No way!!!"

I'd say the 'shaking head vertically/yes' is just someone nodding off to sleep before they catch themself. Why are the eyes closed?
It actually looks like this:

Then you try to send a long voice message on iMessage and the screen goes off and the message stops. These people are insane at apple. Wake up and work on what matters!
I had to switch conversations on WhatsApp to exchange some voice messages with a friend overseas because it was impossible to manage with iMessage.

Fair enough, finally a useful answer! Still the question remains: where will it end? Will it not be ever more difficult to find exactly the right emoji in the plethora of options? Scroll, scroll, scroll…

What’s the point of keep adding more and more irs already hard to find any and these are so random and just a few it just isn’t needed

Search is your friend. On the Emoji popup/window/mode, just tap into the Search field. You may need to pull down to reveal it on platforms like macOS. The frequently-used emoji are always in the first group, but that may not be the first thing shown.

Most apps support generating emoji by typing two characters.

: ) = :)

1-You can just type and they appear
2-You can search
3-You can turn them off

We already had an Amanita Muscaria, why the hell would we need a BORING Baby Bella?

WHAT?? There wasn’t a common mushroom emoji yet? I love champignon mushrooms. I’m glad they will finally have an emoji!

Or perhaps they could eliminate those people and hire more QA
Sure, that ought to do it! It is a bit surprising, though, that the people who run one of the largest companies in the world haven't figured out this simple solution of just firing the graphic designers who adapt emoji.
