So battery health 80% or higher = Normal. Under 80% = Service. Wow, innovative!

Also, there is an Unknown status so Apple can remind you that you tried to save some $ getting your battery replaced through a 3rd party.

And yes, this should be available on all iPhone models iOS 17 supports. What other option will 15s have other than Normal? Can you make your intentions any more obvious Apple?

Battery health is more than capacity, like internal resistance

You can have a 100% battery with high internal resistance - bad health

Same. 80% every day. No issues lasting all day. Charge to 100% when travelling for work.
This is exactly my activity too.

I never use 100% in a typical day, why would I stress the battery unnecessarily, even if it is a consumable like some claim.

My 15 pro is still on 100% health. So when I need max capacity I have it.

I’d love to have the limitation to charge only to 80% on my 13 mini. But I understand. Probably the CPU is too old. Or the battery… sorry dear customer. We provide you only with new functions that might slow down your device, but not little things that actually might be really useful for you.
