Just got off a plane and was pretty disappointed when not a single one of my saved stories were available to read during the flight. I typically go through News (not News+) and save stories I’d like to read throughout the week. Since I’m on multiple flights each week, it gives me something to do if I don’t feel like watching something.
One of the iOS 17.5 highlights seems to be the News+ offline saving feature, but every article I’ve come across only denotes News+, not anyone that doesn’t pay for that service. Did Apple get rid of offline viewing of saved stories with this update?! If not, did settings change or would there be a reason I couldn’t access any of these stories without a WiFi connection?
