I know its early, but we are just over 3 months until iOS 17 betas start, lets use this thread to speak about things we would like and wish in the upcoming update. For me its Split screen, New home page with new UI including 3d icons with shadows, interactive widgets.

This has probably been discussed, but is anyone else having issues with podcasts? No matter what I play, this is the error I get.

Works fine for me. Someone else had it tho. Maybe a hard reboot?

The keyboard autocomplete feature is killing me. I keep using the tab key rather than the space bar to complete the word (from the way Google and Microsoft have implemented this). Tabbing will cause the word to complete but adds the entire word to the end of what you had typed thus far.

E.g. “specu” + TAB key yields “specuspeculation”

Grrr….

Were you by chance listening to a podcast or other voice programming? Or music? Yesterday I determined that a podcast had significantly degraded sound quality while on spatial audio. However, music was just fine.

Does rebooting fix or do you have to install from the App Store each time?

Install. Didnt actually think to restart as it wasn’t showing up in the App Library ether.

Will try that next time. But this is very odd. Also get 498 notification badge show up in that folder as per earlier post.

Interesting. Mine was striking with the difference between the podcast app on spatial audio and the Music app. The podcast app sounded like it was recorded in mono.

I'm not sure that qualifies as a bug. It could just as easily be an incompatibility between the current version of Spotify and the iOS beta.

Yeah there are several places (settings and various other places) where the text is overlapped etc. UI definitely needs some love in the next beta. BUT hope for the SMS and mail issues fixed 1st and if they can throw in some graphical fixes that would be awesome. 🙂

Vpn seems to work on wifi only for me, not cellular. Anyone else ?

In the brief time I used the beta, both VPN and iCloud private relay caused me some issues. Had to turn both off so get anything accomplished.

Open mail and then it send it to Junk.
Until I opened it it sat in the inbox.

If you open in Safari, it displays correctly.

Yes and I had been getting that on 16.6, messaged someone with an android last night and had no problems, I will keep testing that out and report back. 🧪
