I haven't found any extensions that Firefox would need. All it needs is freedom from Safari.Sorry - that should have said Firefox, not Safari.

i am glad you are happy with it. Robust ad blocking is a must for me.I haven't found any extensions that Firefox would need. All it needs is freedom from Safari.
This is the most moronic move. Those of you who are so called privacy activists have no idea whatsoever about what Google marketing collects from you. No it doesn’t collect your ssn or underwear size. It doesn’t even collect your name or email in raw format. It collects things you’ve browsed so it can better recommend things you like to you.
Apples move towards this is two fold, winning over ignorant people who do not know what gclid is or collects. And second, to usher in Apple Ads.

All browsing has to be switched on manually, it's only automatic in private browsingView attachment 2219522*All browsing, not just private browsing.
Apple does at least 6 updates a year, sometimes more with security updates, which works out every 2 months 😊sorry but getting anti tracking updates once a year aint gonna cut it
either you adapt quickly or become irrelevant in 2 months after release
most adblockers for firefox/chrome aleady had this for a while now, to the point that fb/ig has started to work around it by creating server-side url tracking logic (unblockable in browser)
It can be enabled in all browsing, you just have to do it manuallyI like the idea but, why can't this also be enabled in standard Safari mode as well?
Hmm, depends on whose interpreting the scienceWhy should I agree with Google tracking my browsing behaviour? They never asked my permission. I don’t need Google recommending me anything.
This has actually nothing to do with the adds you see when you're on a particular web siteKind of torn on this.
Part of me wants more privacy of course. A lot of these aren't even that much about privacy but just tracking the conversion effectiveness of broader ad campaigns, keywords, etc (think UTM parameters)
However, I also know that ads power pretty much all of the free experiences we have on the internet.
Also I worry if this might break some of the cashback sites I use.
Google has paid over $600 million in the past year to compensate for privacy violations. This only happens if you provably violate laws or agreements with users. What is truly moronic is believing that Google cannot and does not associate the data it collects from users of its services with the real identities of those users, and then publicly attacking those who are trying to prevent it.This is the most moronic move. Don't forget about somehow they include "we need to save our children!"A great idea. No doubt some companies will claim this is "anti-competitive," a flagrant abiuse of Apple's market power, and will lead to anarchy, death, destruction lower profits unless the government steps in and forces Apple stop this dangerous practice...
As far as I understand, there is still a 'difference' between private Browsing and all Browsing! Even when you select All Browsing only private Browsing uses different DNS Servers - within all Browsing mode this is not the case!View attachment 2219522*All browsing, not just private browsing.
But they're not the same - even when enabling 'all browsing' as feature. If you check the used DNS servers you can see, that only with private browsing they do use cloudflare servers! No @coolbreeze2 , you need to do two things: (1) Enable the Prevent Cross Site Tracking switch at the top of screenshot you shared, and (2) scroll down to “Advanced“ at the bottom of Setting>Safari page, tap it, then tap “Advanced Tracking and Fingerprint Protection”, then select ”All Browsing”. That will enable the feature that is the subject of this article. Hope this helps. 🙏🏽
This is the better choice! In conjunction with StopTheMadness this could be pretty neat.
Not for me personally. If a site doesn’t work with private browsing, private relay and vpn (I use Proton which has great ad blocking so I’ve stopped using separate ad blockers), I interpret that as a sign that the site is likely engaged in identity profiteering and stop using that site (“99%” of the time). I recognize that many sites rely on advertising to keep the lights on, so I contribute to the handful of ad supported sites I use frequently which keeps my conscience clear. If I understand it correctly, it is better to turn 'off' this setting completely!
