iOS 17 Mail app issue- Details in post

Whenever I want to compose a new mail message and start writing in the Subject line, the Subject title also appears in huge bold text as shown here from my image.

Is there any way to turn that off?

No, basically. But once you scroll that part of the screen out of view (as you're typing your message) it will get smaller and collapse itself into the header bar. It's quite common in iOS design patterns, if you look at the Settings app for example, the large "Settings" text collapses into the header bar as you scroll down. Just something you'll have to live with, I'm afraid.
