Release notes seem like it's addressing a specific Watch issue so maybe no updates for other platforms.

I think apple should stop with these watchOS 9.6.1 updates, I think most people are on iOS 17 beta 5 so they should release the beta 6 today not flipping watchOS official minor update

You do realize that maybe (maybe) 1/2 of 1% of iOS users are on the betas. And probably only a tenth of that on WatchOS.

What exciting feature are you waiting for in iOS 17 beta 6 that is more important for Apple than fixing a serious bug or exploit on the Apple Watch ….FOR 99.9% OF YOUR USERS?

The big question now is if the other OSes get the X.x.1 treatment and if they need to patch the betas. So we might get the dreaded 17.0 beta 5 rev 2 later today. Or they’ll patch beta 6 with whatever needs patching and get that out tomorrow or Thursday.

My new beta installation policy:
builds ending a-d, install dev beta after reading your feedback (I thank you for your service 😀)
builds e-g, install public
builds h-j, install public beta, maybe
builds k+, hard pass

Obviously I won't stick to it, but it's nice to have a policy to break. I suppose there's still a few hours left today...

No difference in builds from Dev to Public - same build numbers. So not sure why you’d change about.

And I wouldn’t take much notice of the letters, I’d be much more concerned about the beta number. 1-4 are notoriously buggier and quite unstable. 5-7 then RC typically get more stable.

Yeh, but no, but yeh, but no, but yeh.

Pfft. B6 will get here when it get's here. In the meantime, go to the pub with the lads. Watch some footy, take home a burger and give yer missus what for over your 60 inch OLED.
