Depends where you live. For example here in Phoenix you will run into a few businesses like coffee shops that will only take cards.

Just like I believe every business should offer Apple Pay, every business should also offer cash payments. Never understood why a business would want to limit how you got paid, money is money.

Cash only means no credit card transactions fees or bogus chargebacks. Card only means no risk of cash robberies, faster transactions, and more tips. If a business gets enough traffic it’s sometimes worth it for them to limit payment methods.

I've never come across a place of business that didn't accept cash. On the other hand, there have been places that only took cash (e.g. Pho restaurants, street food vendors, food trucks, etc.)
Cash has some real setbacks for businesses. The more cash they take the higher the robbery risk. Puts the business and employees or owners at risk. Requires a cash management system to deal with daily over/short reporting. Cash is the one of the largest sources of theft in businesses that take it, best only by merchandise in retail. It requires Daily trips going to the bank which creates additional exposure. Digital currency has none of these issue.
