I would love to use new features, but Apple seems to forgot about other European countries like Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and other… I mean Google supports A LOT more languages since 2019 or longer, how is it possible Apple is not?

Ehh, another year without Siri and now AI…
Apparently AI won’t support any other European languages besides English and Spanish. Then again, AI seems to be tons of solutions to non-existing problems…

clearly the most underwhelming keynote ever, almost fell asleep during the iP Pro presentation.

Is Visual Intelligence also coming in 18.1 to non iPhone 16 devices?

They also don't mention anything on their website about exclusively.

available on iPhone 15 pro and newer.... In other words, they are basically saying they are reducing full support to 1 year.

Resale value is going to plummet. Despite them actually saying older iPhones hold their value in the video.
What do you mean with full support? Every year new iPhones have exclusive features, this year is a big one, but it’s not like they announced the iPhone 15 with AI capabilities.

And no word about German... as like it would be amazing to change the devices language and Siri to English...🤦🏻‍♂️

Was wondering the same thing too. Is 18.0 coming out in September?

Also, I think it's a good thing that the updates overall weren't "major". Don't need totally newly refreshed product lines every year. Not sustainable.
Out on 16. September

AI is not coming to EU. It's completely omitted from all material in all the Apple's EU country sites. UK has it.

So.... In Europe we get basically nothing new except basic theming from 10 years old android ?
Yes. It's amusing that the iPhone 16 marketing pages on the European Apple Shop are completely silent on Apple Intelligence.

Let me make sure I understand... IOS 18 will release Sept 16th and be on the iPhone 16 lineup out of the box....whicha means one a of the key features will NOT actually be on a brand new iPhone 16/pro model until "sometime" in October and still be considered BETA even then? Did I get that correct?

So.... In Europe we get basically nothing new except basic theming from 10 years old android ?
This has been the case for many years so I don’t get the surprise. The new Maps, ID in Wallet, transit cards, the satellite stuff, Siri not being available in most european languages and nothing being done about it for years…

Most of the stuff announced in many years that sounds actually useful is US and UK, Germany, France at best.

Was thinking the same. German missing from the language list was a huge disappointment
I don't get this...I mean, not at launch, I can live with that and understand, but not even on the second wave...WTF...we already had that with so many Siri related releases... There was even a programming so Siri learned German better in dialects or other different location based German-ish languages. And suddenly Siri could understand that, but for the A.I....nope...

Thanks to some stupid EU decisions German speaking countries are out for now.
Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely pro EU hired, but some EU rules (including alternative app stores) are just stupid.

Write to the members of the EU that this bothers you.

I guess non US English support is going to be a wait for 18.2 then as it was announced as "Coming in December" for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK. I was kind of hoping that the US English restriction might just be for 18.1 in beta and it would get expanded for the 18.1 release but I guess it's another couple of months of waiting...

I love the way they stated it’s AI uses a combination of hardware & software, then limits it to 15 models & newer, yet we all know the only thing holding AI back from working on any iPhone is the software restriction Apple put in place! To be expected I suppose
