iOS 18.1 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Interesting fact: i just logged out from my US AppStore ID(used for Media&Purchases) and logged in with my romanian one. Now i lost access to Apple Intelligence.

So for everyone who has issues with getting access in the EU, maybe beside region/language set to the US you should also use an US AppStore ID.

Mine was initially 2.86 GB after the update. I guess it just takes some time to download. I wish the UI had some sort of a progress bar status.

US App Store account, Region set to US and language set to US.

No you don’t need to change your Apple ID region

You have to change it to the US! If you're in the EU, of course.

Hmm... mine is 2.63GB and hasn't changed despite reboots.

Note that it does the same as clicking the little Bluetooth icon in the 2x2 icon: it disconnects most devices it doesn[t actually turn Bluetooth off. Of course, it does save a click and is neater.

Most people don't care, as that's all they want, and they probably have watches and headphones they want to keep connected regardless, but I want it to turn properly off when I click it. So I'm sticking with my "real" Bluetooth toggle shortcut instead.

Looks like the Recent Calls list has once again been reverted back to pre iOS 18. I was finally getting used to the changes! Hopefully it changes back later in 18.1.

In the Siri suggestions when searching the icons are now showing in dark mode even I used the light mode at the moment (set to automatic mode)
When I changed manually to light mode then the suggestions will showing up correctly.

BBC Sports app is fixed in this release.

It was fixed last week with the bbc sports app update

Odd if 18.1 B2 and 18.0 B6 are matched other than AI, something is up because my keyboard lag in DB6 of 18.0 is 99% better.
