Starting with iOS 18.2, Apple News+ subscribers in the U.S. have access to daily sudoku puzzles, with easy, moderate, and challenging difficulty levels.

A scoreboard tracks your sudoku stats, including your total number of puzzles solved, fastest completion times per difficulty level, and more.

Sudoku is also available in Apple News+ on iPadOS 18.2, and likely macOS Sequoia 15.2. It is the fourth puzzle game to be included with an Apple News+ subscription, alongside Crossword, Crossword Mini, and Quartiles.

In the U.S., Apple News+ costs $12.99 per month, and the service is also included in the Apple One Premier subscription bundle alongside Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and iCloud+ with 2TB of storage for $37.95 per month.

The first iOS 18.2 beta was released this week for devices with Apple Intelligence support, including iPhone 15 Pro models and all iPhone 16 models. The software update is expected to be widely released to the public in December.

iOS 18.2 also includes additional Apple Intelligence features, such as Image Playground and Genmoji. Check out our list of everything new in the first iOS 18.2 beta for an overview of most of the new features and changes discovered so far.

Ah the Americans, lucky people. Apple Cash, Apple Card, Soduku. Living the good life!

Great. Now reduce the ridiculous number of terrible ads all over the place and maybe I'll consider subscribing. It's the same clickbait low quality garbage available for free, with just as many ads. I don't understand what they think they're doing here.

I just did another free trial of News+ and had the exact same reaction.

I didn't even like it "for free" -- I couldn't imagine actually paying for it.

It's a strange offering and value proposition

The pettiness towards the EU is hilarious. Maybe the EU needs to stop micromanaging things.

Apple News+ has never been an EU offering and it has nothing to do with the EU "micromanaging things"

Licensing agreements across jurisdictions are wildly different for this sort of content

tldr It would need to be a totally discrete offering per region to cater to specific regional regulations, companies and content of interest in those regions

Huh.. Learn something new every day. No idea that News+ wasn't in the EU too.

There is so much focus that needs to be wielded against the dumpster fire that is Apple News. There’s plenty of ink spilled and thoughtful commentary over all the low-hanging fruit that could transform it into a worthy offering. But no, have some games. I swear, with this company it’s so painfully obvious the left and right hands have no idea of the other’s existence. Doing some goofy Game Center stuff one minute, trying to hype 3 and 4 year old games the next, and now this? If anything, Apple should pay people or discount their One subscription if you use News+ it certainly shouldn’t be a paid offering. This won’t help things but sure let’s throw some more wet paper towels at the mirror.. sheesh what is this, middle school?
