I never said it was. I said it was becoming lagdroid.Correct. It’s not Windows either, so I don’t get what point you think you’re making?

American companies still have to follow the laws of the countries and regions they operate in. What about this are you not getting?Letting EU dictate stuff for an american company is pretty dumb. Tim Cook has been trying to lobby the fed to do something about this, but probably not possible w/ this current administration
iOS is turning into windows.
And it’s not good
What unnecessary and redundant remarks. iOS isn’t turning either Android or Windows. And more customization is nowhere near a bad thing.More like lagdroid and I hate it.

So you want the American government to dictate stuff for the EU goverment? That sounds way better.Letting EU dictate stuff for an american company is pretty dumb. Tim Cook has been trying to lobby the fed to do something about this, but probably not possible w/ this current administration
Give us Maps so we can default to google Maps.
Spend a little more and get a decent Android device. Samsung Tab S8 and Galaxy S24+ both feel as fast (if not faster due to better high refresh screens) than Apple.I own an android. Glad your wife loves her. Her experience isn’t mine.
Curious where you'd use a music default? Clicking an email address needs to know which mail client to open. Clicking a physical address needs to know which map software to open. Where do you click a song that isn't already hosted somewhere? No default for changing these is pathetic though:
- Music - Apple Music > Spotify > Deezer > Amazon Music > Pandora > YouTube Music etc...
- Navigation - Apple Maps > Waze > Google Maps etc...
Probably not the people commenting here, but most of the iPhone users aren't tech-savvy.
And there's a lot of privacy risks involved in let a third party app replace the Phone app for example.
If they aren't tech savvy, they also won't be going through the steps to replace any default apps
i.e. nothing to worry about here
Google Mail ask and provides an option to change the default browser.
A malicious app can do the same thing.
