This isn’t specific to the beta but will Apple ever let us get rid of the open app bar in Safari? If I wanted to use the app I’d use the app. If I’m in Safari it’s because I want to use the web.

I have noticed Mail stillsometimes lags, but also the Subject line within the email is much more pronounced.

16pro, the home screen scrolling is jittery if there are widgets in it. That’s bit disappointing to be present in their flagship device huh

EDIT: choppiness disappears if I reposition the widget by moving it to different area of the screen. This is so weird lol
Restarting or re-adding the widget didnt help but this did

“Disappointing”. You know this is a beta right? And that in knowing so you freely installed it on your device?

Glad my iPhone 16PM still doubles up as a hot plate when using Image Playground or Genmoji. Got a feeling my battery health will be prematurely affected sooner rather ran later.

I just stopped myself from updating from 18.1 to this because of your post. Thank you for your service. 🫡

Ask now if it’s still hot. Likely not.

Some heat is not a reason not to update. Apple Intelligence pushes the phone in ways it’s never been pushed before. Combine that with the usual post-update reindexing and, yeah, the phone will heat up.

I noticed this on my phone in the hour after updating. Now…it’s completely cool to the touch.

Will be fine. Works very and fluid.
Yes it does seem to be pretty polished. I'm also impressed that there was no wait time, other than waiting for the download, for Apple Intelligence. The missing stickers bug seems to be fixed now with iOS 18.2 beta 4.

Option to create your own stickers from a photo is back... when you save them to your sticker drawer they stay there now.

Still having intermittent touch issues on the 16PM. It's odd but sometimes it just happens in certain apps, then I switch to a different app and that part of the screen works just fine. anyway entered another ticket.
