This is probably coming too.Time left with the current battery and usage would be more useful, no? Basically like the miles left info in a car or the same info on the Mac.
Yup, I think Snow Leopard or maybe even earlier than that has allowed you to view the estimated time remaining until a full chargeThis was an option as far back as OS X Snow Leopard, or maybe even sooner.
I mean we are coming into winter now, so having a warm to the touch laptop is nice lolI’ve been waiting years for an SoC that can perform basic calculations. Apples engineers have done a fantastic job adding such computation capabilities to Apple Silicon.
The only thing I’d say though, is I prefer my chips hot. The lukewarm Apple Silicon chips just don’t taste as good as intels. I like a sizzle in my mouth as I bite them.
I would hope so, but Tim might have other plans.Ain’t no way this is gonna be only for iPhone 16 models
If they’re feeling generous, A18 and A18 Pro.A18 Pro feature
Considering how most of the features Apple announces are cross platform, it is surprising that the macOS team and iOS team never talked about this together.Yup, I think Snow Leopard or maybe even earlier than that has allowed you to view the estimated time remaining until a full charge
Surprised it's taken this long for the iPhone
I mean, we kind of have something like this already provided you have optimized battery charging on and have a regular charging routine, a notification will show when its expected to do the rest of the charge past 80%
But then users are confused when it’s less or more when they use something else on the phone, I guess. Obviously the battery must already be capable of calculating this, I just don’t know if many users wouldn’t be confused.Time left with the current battery and usage would be more useful, no? Basically like the miles left info in a car or the same info on the Mac.
I wouldn’t be surprised. Also exclusive to iPhone 16This is likely a US-only feature, and only available if you also have Apple Intelligence activated.
Can't innovate anymore, my assGotta hand it to them. This A18 is amazing enabling such ground breaking calculations, now I understand why the iPad hasnt got a calculator for so long!
Does this really help?
