We will likely get beta 2 tomorrow. If we get public beta tomorrow as well or Tuesday and then move to a weekly release starting the week after then I suspect he's correct. Otherwise, it'll be business as usual in mid December.

That Apple Intelligence, the main selling point of iPhone 16, only works in English is such a joke.

What I've been able to try so far by changing my iPhone to English is far from what ChatGPT is able to do. I can't imagine the mess the new languages launching next year will be.

Apple should:

- Bring back the Fade-In button for alarms and phone calls to gradually increase volume.

- Redesign the notification center with an immediate “Clear All” button for single notifications.

- Ensure tapping on phone notifications doesn’t automatically dial back calls; it should only go to the phone app like other apps.

- Allow dismissing Calendar and app notifications while in another app.

- Provide an LED visual on the phone for notifications, with customizable colors based on the app.

- Allow adjusting haptic feedback intensity.

- Enable independent app and setting volume controls.

- Customize the texting app extensively, including font size, bubble size, shape, and color.

9. Use an OS-wide clipboard to cut or copy multiple entries, with at least the last 10 possible. Make cut and copy not expire until users clean it. Stop auto-cleaning the cache. Users should be able to copy text and paste it later.

10. In Mail, give users the option to go back to the inbox when deleting an email instead of going to the next email. Users can turn this feature off if they prefer.

11. Mandate a swipe from left to right in every app to navigate back. A tiny arrow button at the top left is insufficient.

12. Allow users to cancel snooze before it starts and set any snooze time, not just 9 minutes.

Thanks, Writing Tools 🤣

This does not bode well for the rumored release of 18.2 in the 1st week of December.
Its just you. All actual developers and most people on the program have the access. I received it immediately. Apple won't miss the date just because you Just because you don't have access.

A first of December release is hard to believe given how long beta testers have been waiting to get access to Genmoji and Image Playground. It’s a long and slow waiting list.

Good to know. Will definitely update as soon as possible and try out the new features.

So one month from now? It is an awfully short timeframe, but here is hoping for a battery-efficient and finished 18.2!

I might have something interesting to say about image playground or Genmoji, if Apple would turn it on for me. Installed 18.2 beta 1 2 days after release and still haven't made it to the end of the wait list. This does not bode well for the rumored release of 18.2 in the 1st week of December.
Same applies to me.

I think it's smart to get it released in 1 language before trying to tackle other languages at the same time.

I installed it within an hour and a half of release and was on the wait list until Monday last week. It'll come, but since you waited about 20 times longer than I did, you're likely stuck way back in line.

I'm a developer on the developer beta and I'm still waiting for Image Playground access.

With the really slow drip feed of features with these .1 updates, I think I may be on the beta until next September at this rate.
What exactly are your expectations here?

Google, Adobe, Samsung, and many others have had a slow roll on releasing AI features over the past few years (Google actually declares they started in 2001).

While late to start, Apple appears to have a worryingly aggressive schedule IMHO.

Will there be an 18.2 GM final release in November before the official December release?
